In October, the morale of business leaders in France continued to deteriorate, with the optimism indicator falling by one point to 56 points, approaching its lowest level recorded in June (55 points). Confidence in the French and global economy remains very low, while confidence in their own companies is slightly eroding.
In this context, the rise in fuel prices is considered a significant difficulty by more than half of business leaders (54%), leading nearly one in two executives (47%) to take at least one adaptation measure.
Furthermore, nearly four in ten leaders feared, before the disturbances of October 17 and 18, the consequences of social movements in city centers.
