The 2025-2026 season has been particularly fruitful for the Aixe Billiards Club (CAB). The club recorded a significant 19% increase in membership, continuing its « CAB CAP 50 » project aimed at sustainably reaching 50 members by 2030. This growth is complemented by the development of its billiards school, training programs, facilities, and initiatives to attract new audiences.
Numerous competitions, events, and training sessions were organized, both internally and officially under the auspices of the French Billiards Federation. The season's highlight was hosting the New Aquitaine League General Assembly on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Centre Jacques Prévert, which provided unprecedented visibility for the club and the commune.
On the sporting front, the CAB achieved excellent results for both adults and juniors. Several District and League Championship titles were won, in both individual and team categories. The 3-Cushion Federal Team 5 notably secured the runner-up position in the French Championship.
The billiards school continues its expansion with a new instructor, eight young players receiving diplomas, and several referees in training. Furthermore, a club member has been pre-selected for the French National Squad, aiming to participate in the upcoming European Championships in June in Rosmalen, Netherlands.
The club invites anyone interested in discovering or practicing billiards, for leisure or competition, to visit them at 1 rue du Puy Panard in Aixe-sur-Vienne. Contact details are available at 07 50 97 04 34, 06 32 06 32 12, or via email at clubaixoisdebillard@gmail.com.
