Starting October 12, 2026, Limoges Métropole is changing its financial aid program for bicycle purchases, expanding eligibility criteria to promote sustainable mobility.

Committed to ecological transition, Limoges Métropole is adapting its financial support for cycle acquisition starting October 12, 2026. This measure aims to actively encourage the use of sustainable transport modes for daily travel, particularly commutes to work and educational institutions.
For this new edition, the allocation terms are evolving to make the aid accessible to a wider audience, strengthening social equity and inclusivity. Limoges Métropole is introducing three major modifications:
The resource ceiling has been revalued: the reference fiscal income (RFR) per share criterion is aligned with the median RFR of the territory, raised to €26,740 (compared to €21,470 previously), thereby expanding the number of eligible households.
Student inclusion has been enhanced: previously limited by their attachment to their parents' tax household, students enrolled for at least three months in a university institution within Limoges Métropole and residing in the territory for over 3 months, can now apply for aid upon presentation of their proof of enrollment.
Support for seniors and people with reduced mobility (PMR) is strengthened, with the scheme now including funding for adapted bicycles, ensuring access to soft mobility for all.
All information and conditions for benefiting from this scheme can be found on the dedicated page of the Limoges Métropole website.
