On the occasion of Taste Week, the catering department of the Town of Parentis-en-Born offered a menu entirely made of local products this Thursday, October 15, 2026, delighting schoolchildren, EHPAD residents, and home meal recipients.

The initiative aimed to introduce schoolchildren at the Puntet and Arènes nursery and elementary schools, as well as EHPAD residents and those receiving delivered meals, to the authentic flavors of the region. The menu included grated Landes carrots, sweet potato and potato puree from the Coopérative du Born in Saint-Julien-en-Born, chicken legs from Les Frères Poulet d’Ychoux, and vanilla white cheese from Lait 2 Castets.
This operation, orchestrated by the municipality's catering department, showcases the expertise of local producers and encourages both young and old to appreciate the gastronomic richness of the region while promoting quality eating.
