The Briance Sud Haute-Vienne Community of Communes has invested in a new truck equipped with an 'Automatic Point-a-Temps' (PATA) system to maintain its network of over 450 kilometers of communal roads.

Facing road surface degradation due to usage and weather, the community council decided in 2026 to acquire this new equipment. The PATA truck sprays gravel combined with a bituminous binder, a technique that repairs wear defects and extends the lifespan of roads.
This road maintenance campaign, which has just concluded, was made possible by the acquisition of used equipment for €122,000.00 excl. VAT. The work covered all 11 municipalities in the territory and began in April.
These road works are financed by the Community of Communes and carried out through a pooling of human resources between the local municipalities and the intercommunal entity.
