The Communauté de Communes des Grands Lacs (CCGL) participated in a national round table on employee housing, highlighting its initiatives for seasonal workers and territorial attractiveness.

On the occasion of the HLM Congress, the Communauté de Communes des Grands Lacs (CCGL) took part in a round table dedicated to housing solutions for employees and their role in the economic attractiveness of territories. The event showcased the actions undertaken in the Grands Lacs region to support seasonal worker housing.
In a context of housing market pressures, access to suitable accommodation is a major challenge for both companies and employees. In the Grands Lacs territory, this issue is particularly acute for seasonal workers, whose presence is crucial for many economic activities. The round table, titled 'Economic Attractiveness and Housing: Housing Solutions for Employees,' provided a platform to share initiatives developed by the CCGL and its member municipalities, notably in Biscarrosse, Parentis-en-Born, and Ychoux.
The CCGL addresses housing with a cross-cutting approach, closely linked to economic, social, and territorial planning issues. This strategy relies on the joint work of the Housing, Economic Development, and Youth departments, as well as inter-municipal initiatives such as the Economic Land Strategy, the GPECT (territorial employment and skills forecasting) study, and the Global Territorial Agreement (CTG) with the CAF.
Numerous institutional partners and local stakeholders collaborate with the CCGL to develop solutions tailored to local needs. These include the European Union, the State, DREAL, DDTM, Action Logement, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, the Landes Departmental Council, PETR Pays Landes Nature Côte d’Argent, AUDAP, ADACL, GIP Littoral, Nomad’, the Bisca Grands Lacs Tourist Office, member municipalities, and the community of communes of Mimizan.
The CCGL's participation in the HLM Congress highlighted the experiments conducted in the Grands Lacs territory and the partnerships mobilized to address employee housing challenges. The HLM Congress is a major national event for social housing and habitat professionals. The podcast of the round table is available on Radio Territoria.
